Meditation cushion zafu, with "Wheel of Joy" symbol silkscreened in gold on our bright saffron silk-blend fabric, is filled with clean organic buckwheat hulls that can be adjusted through a small zipper on the inner liner to provide just the right support for one's sitting meditation practice.
Boon Decor designed and crafted the cover to zip off for dry cleaning and a handy sewn-in carry handle for transport. Measures 16" across with a 6" loft, weighs approximately 5.0 lbs.
Our "Wheel of Joy" zafu represents the "Three Jewels" that the Buddhist takes refuge in: the Buddha, The Dharma (teachings of Buddha) and the Sangha (the community of believers). In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the term 'daga' is used to describe all forms of joy and the term "khyil" means to circle or spin. The three swirls in the wheel of joy represents the "Three Jewels".
The sacred symbols of various Eastern philosophies, religious traditions and Asian cultures, have, since ancient times, inspired spiritual development.
